However when Joe Sheehy goaled from the penalty spot , An Daingeain were once again in front if only temporarily. For the remainder of the first half Lios Póil finished the stronger as they outscored their opponents 2-00 to 0-1. Goals for Lios Póil coming from Deaclán Ó Súilleabháin, the second one in particular owing a lot to Tomás Ó Caomhánaigh, who brought meaning the phrase putting the head on the line.
