Frustration is popularly known as board game, but following a highly dubious penalty Lios Póil went down to a narrow two point loss to hosts St Sennans. Lios Póil despite suffering defeat start strongly when an inform Colm Ó Muirthile pointed over two points in a row to cancel out an opening point for St Sennans. Further points from Ciarán Ó Súilleabháin and Adrian Ó Raoil made certain that by the 10 minute, that Lios Póil were in front holding a two point lead. This had all changed by the twentieth minute with the both teams level 0:04 apiece. Whether it was a point or pass Ciarán Ó Súilleabháin was going for, Mícheál ‘Jim’ Mac Gearailt made sufficient contact with the ball to raise a green flag. Lios Póil couldn’t have imagined a better start as in a five minute interval they recorded a 1:02 from the boots of Ó Muirthile. St Senans though responded with points of their own, which left them only three points behind Lios Póil, 2:05 to 0:08. It is at this stage the highly dubious penalty happed which resulted in the match being levelled. St Senans then proceeded to push on and added two further points, before Ó Muirthile landed a point over for Lios Póil to leave the matter 2:06 to 1:10. That was as good as it got for Lios Póil as St Senans went on to win by the scoreline of 1-11 to 2-06
