Tar éis seachtain ina dhein Liam Anthony Ó Cathasaigh cáil amach dó féin ar an clár teilifíse Piocmoride, theip ar Lios Póil an cheann is fearr ar Piarsaigh na Dromda. It was the visitors Dromad Pearses who were fastest off the blocks, when Donnacha ‘Shine’ Ó Súilleabháin pointed a free. The sides were level in no time, when Cathal Ó Súilleabháin converted a free himself to leave matters 0:01 apiece. Dromad then went on to rattle off an unanswered 1:04, with goal coming on the 13th minute from Criostóir Ó Faircheallaigh. With scores scarce Lios Póil needed every chance they got and when Nollaig Ó hUigín succeed shaking the back of the net, only three points separated the sides.Dromad though pushed on once more with two points in a row, goal scorerer Ó Faircheallaigh adding a point to his existing tally. Nollaig Ó hUigín with once more did his bit for Lios Póil, when he succeeded pointing an inspirational point at the end of half-time. The half tiem score reading 1:04 to Lios Póil, Piarsaigh na Dromoda 1:06.
A point in the opening minute of second half by Adrian Ó Raoil left only a solitary point between the sides, before Aodán Ó Conchúir and Graham Ó Súilleabháin put two further points for Piarsaigh na Dromoda. Further points by Donnacha ‘Shine’ Ó Súilleabháin and Ó Conchúir widened the gap further , before Deaclán Ó Súilleabháin pointed twice for Lios Póil. Ó Súilleabháins points left the Score 1:05 to 1:09 in favour of Dromad, who despite the best efforts of defenders such as Rónán Ó Grifín went on to score a late point through Aodán Ó Súilleabháin. This left the final score 1:11 to 1:07 in favour of Piarsaigh na Dromoda.
