Lios Póil and An Ghaeltacht may have faced each other on the field of play, but there was a match of a different kind taking place with the marriage of Peter Farrell of Lios Póil and Esther O’ Sullivan of Baile Uachtarach. An Ghaeltacht dominated the opening quarter, a period in which Seán Ó Gairbhí goaled leaving the score An Ghealtacht 2:03 Lios Póil 1:13. Ó Gairbhí followed the goal up with a point, before two pointed frees through Colm Ó Muirthile to leave five points between the sides.
