West Kerry league 2015.Lispole V Dingle

Lios Póil 2-09
Dingle 3-09
Despite an honest and valiant effort to win, Lios Póil under the joint management of Brendan Ó Sé and John Ó Deargáin just fell short of the mark. It proved an exciting start as within the opening five minutes Lios Póil trailed Dingle by a solitary point 1-00 to 1-01. However, thanks to some exemplary defending and good movement Lios Póil were soon level and by the first quarter were 2-04 to 1-03 in front. The goal coming from Tomás Ó Caomhánaigh, who had Brian Ó Raoil to thank for the opportunity. Dingle’s response to this was a converted penalty from Joe Sheehy and two points which left them level at 2-05 a piece. A late point from Garreth Ó Nuanáin ensured that the home team lead 2-06 to 2-05 at half time
Lios póil extended their lead to three points, courtesy of points from Cathal Ó Súilleabháin and Garreth Ó Nuanáin. A famine in scores followed for Lios Póil as Dingle levelled matters, with Paudie Murphy scoring one of the points. After levelling matters a stalemate followed as both sides struggled to register a score, until Dingle goaled to leave them 3-08 to 2-08 in front. Colm Ó Muirthile with a converted 45 narrowed it to two, but try as they might they fell just short of that vital score as Dingle finished the game with a three point lead.
